Family Law Attorney

San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000 annually
*The salary range is the one that Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP reasonably expects to pay for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area. The posted range is only one component of Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP’s Total Rewards package.
Role Responsibilities
JKZ is looking for a Family Law Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney. Family law practice areas include dissolutions, relationship agreements, custody/visitation issues, support disputes, and property division. The Family Law Associate Attorney should have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, excellent research and writing skills, and experience in drafting settlement proposals, pleadings, discovery requests, requests for order, and trial briefs. Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Family Law Attorney
- Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw, Dissomaster, Essential Forms, and law firm client management software preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in California Family Code, California Rules of Court, local rules
- Some court experience attending hearings
- Familiarity with San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda, and/or Santa Clara Superior Courts
- Ability to manage, train and work with paralegals and legal assistants
- Client management skills from intake through resolution
- Positive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable and motivated
- Bilingual or Spanish proficiency preferred
